Safety and Resort Guidelines
Welcome to Globe-City's Careaway Resort. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all our Guests, please respect the following rules
Property Rules
- All persons, bags, parcels, clothing and other items may be subject to screening/security checks.
- We reserve the right not to allow any bag, parcel or other item and to deal with any unattended object, bag or luggage in such way as we consider appropriate.
- Smoking (including vaping and e-cigs) is allowed only in designated smoking areas
- Smoking or engaging in the use of illegal substances is not permitted at any time.
- Smoking is never allowed inside resort hotel rooms and lobbies. Guests caught smoking in their hotel room must pay up to a $400 recovery fee
- Guests smoking or vaping on rides (including in attraction queues) or in performance areas will be ejected from the park with no refunds
- Children should be supervised. Guests under age 14 must be accompanied by a Guest age 14 or older to enter a Theme Park. To board an attraction, children under age 7 must be accompanied by a person age 14 years or older.
- All persons under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM at the Shops & More District and other publically accessible resort areas (including hotel lobbies).
- Tickets, credentials and other entitlements are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable, revocable and void if altered. The ticket must be used by the same person on all days during its period of validity and is not valid for special events that require a separate admission charge. Applicable ticket and valid identification confirmation are required for entry, re-entry or if applicable. Prohibited Items & Contraban
- Firearms, ammunition, knives and weapons of any kind.
- Self-defense or restraining devices (e.g., pepper spray, mace).
- Objects or toys that appear to be firearms or weapons.
- Fireworks or other similarly explosive and/or flammable objects, smoke machines or fog machines.
- Alcoholic beverages, except in resort hotels (Alcohol may not leave the resort hotel in which it is purchased).
- Glass containers (excluding small containers such as baby food jars), except in resort hotels.
- Horns, whistles, large megaphones or artificial noise makers.
- Recreational devices such as drones, remote-control toys, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, bicycles or shoes with built-in wheels.
- Strollers that are greater than 31" (79 cm) in width and 52" (132 cm) in length.
- Wagons, including stroller wagons.
- Any trailer-like object that is pushed, pulled or towed by an Electric Conveyance Vehicle, wheelchair, stroller or person.
- Wheeled mobility devices with less than 3 wheels or devices that cannot maintain stability and balance when stopped, unpowered and/or unoccupied. Training wheels and/or modifications are not permitted. Devices must be manually or electrically powered and operated at a walking pace. Devices should be single rider and not exceed 36" (92 cm) in width and 52" (132 cm) in length.
- Suitcases, bags, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are not allowed in theme parks. Loose or dry ice is not permitted in these containers. Re-usable ice packs are recommended.
- Folding chairs are not allowed in theme parks or Shops & More Distict.
- Selfie sticks, hand-held extension poles for cameras or mobile devices, flags and banners are not allowed in theme parks.
- Tripods or monopod stands that cannot fit inside a standard backpack or that extend over 6’ (182 cm) are not allowed in theme parks.
We reserve the right to prohibit the use or storage of any other item not listed above that we determine may be harmful or disruptive, in our sole and absolute discretion.
Prohibited Activities
- The sale of goods or services, or the display of goods or services, unless prior written approval has been obtained.
- The distribution of printed or recorded materials of any kind unless prior written approval has been obtained.
- Engaging with other Guests or impeding operations while posing as or portraying any character in costume.
- Engaging in any unsafe act or other act that may impede the operation of this Globe-City Resort or any part thereof including MCR owned properties.
- Unauthorized access or entry into backstage areas or areas designated only for Cast Members.
- Unauthorized events, speeches, or use of any flag, banner, sign or other material for commercial purposes, or as part of a demonstration.
- Photography, videotaping or recording of any kind, or otherwise engaging in any activity, for unapproved commercial purposes.
- Unauthorized solicitations of any kind, whether commercial, religious, educational or otherwise, or conducting any unauthorized commercial activities, including solicitations of money or other contributions or donations.
- Obstructing sidewalks, entrances, driveways, patios, vestibules, stairways, corridors, halls or landings.
- Hanging any clothing, towels, bedding or other similar items over or on balconies at a Globe-City or MCR hotel or from fire suppression sprinklers.
We reserve the right to prohibit any other activity that we determine may be harmful or disruptive, in our sole and absolute discretion.
Guest Courtesy and Attire Policies
- Proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. Clothing that drags on the ground is prohibited in theme parks. Clothing with multiple layers is subject to search.
We reserve the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that we consider inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests.
- Visible tattoos that could be considered inappropriate, such as those containing objectionable language or designs, are not permitted.
- There are specific costume guidelines for special events such as Halloween parties; please refer to the additional policies applicable to those events.
- Costumes may not be worn in our theme parks by Guests ages 14 or older.
- Costume masks may not be worn by any Guests ages 14 or older (unless required for medical purposes). When worn by younger Guests, masks may not cover the entire face and must provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times with openings that allow the eyes to be fully seen.
- Please show common courtesy to fellow Guests and our Cast Members by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior, jumping lines or saving places in lines for others. For your safety and the safety of others, please refrain from running.
- Access to attractions depends on the safety rules for each attraction.
- Guests using the pools, spas, fitness centers or other Globe-City or MCR hotel facilities must also adhere to the rules posted and applicable at those facilities.
- Quiet hours at the Hotels of Globe-City's Careaway Resort are from 11:45 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Guests must vacate their resort hotel rooms at the end of their stay, on the date and time set forth in their reservation confirmation.
Animal Policies
Pets (non service animals) limited to dogs and cats are allowed only at the Shops & More District. All pets must be leashed. The following rules also apply to all guests:
- Feeding, petting, touching, harassing or harming any wildlife, including birds, is prohibited.
- Service Animal means a dog or miniature horse that is trained to do work or perform tasks for, and to assist, an individual with a disability. All other animals, including emotional support, comfort or companion animals, are not considered service animals.
- Pets or other animals, except service animals (i.e., dogs and miniature horses, as defined above) are prohibited from theme parks and resort hotels.
Guests staying at the following resort hotels may purchase Animal Care for their pet for an additional fee
- Globe-City's World of Wonder
- MCR Splashport Resort
- MCR Port of Palms Resort
- The RW Hotel
- Service animals should remain on a leash or in a harness and under the control of the owner at all times. Due to the nature of some attractions, service animals may not be permitted to ride.
- Service animals are not allowed in the water—including water features/fountains.
Attraction and Entertainment Policies
- Smoking (including vaping and e-cigs) is never allowed on attractions, in attraction queues, or in performance areas and queues.
- Eating and drinking are not allowed while experiencing a ride.
- Guests must always remain seated with hands, arms, feet, and legs inside of the ride vehicle at all times.
- Touching attraction scenery, show pieces, or other elements including actors and entertainers is strictly prohibited.
- Excessive noise or other distraction during attractions and performances is strictly prohibited.
- Please do not video record or take flash photos during attractions and performances.
Always read all posted information, guidelines, and precautions prior to experiencing an attraction.
Company Rights
- Globe-City's Careaway Resort, including designated roadways, walkways, and parking areas, is private property
- We may photograph, film, videotape, record or otherwise reproduce the image and/or voice of any person who enters Globe-City's Careaway Resort including the Shops & More District and publicly accessible hotel lobbies.
- We may from time to time, in our sole and absolute discretion, without prior notice and without refund, liability or compensation, change the operating hours of any facility, close Globe-City's Careaway Resort or any part of it temporarily, restrict the number of persons having access to a facility and/or suspend or cancel any entertainment program if we consider that the circumstances so require., and use the same for any purpose without payment to any person. - We reserve the right to deny admission, prevent entry or require a person already admitted to leave the Globe-City Resort Highland or any party thereof, without refund, liability or compensation, for failure to comply with any of these rules, for unsafe, illegal or offensive behavior, to ensure safety, security or order, or if we consider that the circumstances otherwise so require, in our sole and absolute discretion.
- We may from time to time, in our sole and absolute discretion, without prior notice and without refund, liability or compensation, change the operating hours of any facility, close Globe-City's Careaway Resort or any part of it temporarily, restrict the number of persons having access to a facility and/or suspend or cancel any entertainment program if we consider that the circumstances so require. - We reserve the right to enter any room at a Globe-City Resort Hotel for maintenance, safety, security or any other purpose, even if the Room Occupied sign is displayed on the room door.
- While MCR hotels and resorts and the RW hotel are independantly operated properties, guests in these areas are required to adhear to all rules and guidelines posted around Globe-City's Careaway Resort.
- We are not responsible for loss or damage of belongings or property, consistent with applicable law.
Severe Weather Policy
In the event of extreme weather constituting closures of our theme parks and resort hotels, guests with already purchased theme-park admission for the date of closure or pre-paid hotel bookings that overlap with date(s) of closure may contact Guest Services to recieve compensation. Guests are not entitled to full cash refunds, however it is standard policy that guests may recieve credit for use at any Globe-City Entertainment property including theme parks, hotels, online stores, and retail locations. The credit recieved is guarenteed to be equivalent to or more than the amount paid for the canceled service (I.E. total cost of park tickets or hotel booking). The credit recieved has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash. The credit recieved is ensured to have no expiration date and will remain valid indefinitely or until spent.
